Don’t look for canned soup here. This casserole is made with a fresh, creamy white sauce. It’s a nice Sunday supper dish. If you prefer, use grilled fresh tuna.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Cook egg noodles in lightly salted water until tender, but firm.

Heat the butter in a skillet over moderate heat.

When the butter has melted and looks foamy, add the onion and celery and cook for or until the vegetables have softened slightly.

Add the garlic and cook briefly.

Stir in the flour and cook, stirring constantly, for .
