Sesame-Seared Tuna Steaks with Cucumber and Tomato Salad

Tuna is meaty and looks a lot like beef, especially when cooked rare. The sesame seeds give the fish a nice crunchy crust that complements the softer salad ingredients. Tuna:
Instructions
Combine the soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, and sugar in a bowl.
Place the tuna in a shallow dish.
Pour the dressing over the fish and let rest for 15–.
Place the sesame seeds on a dish and press the fish on the seeds to coat the surface.
Heat the 3 tablespoons vegetable oil Whoops!
RFin a sauté pan over medium heat.
Cook the fish for 3– per side or until it reaches the degree of doneness desired.
While the fish is cooking, combine the cucumber, tomatoes, and scallions and toss to distribute ingredients.
Mix the 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, vinegar, ginger, and wasabi powder.
Pour over the vegetables.
Place the tuna on each of four plates accompanied by the salad.
Makes 4 servings.
