Sweet, juicy, ripe summer peaches are good enough for dessert without doing anything. But sometimes just a touch of this or that can make plain fruit into a stunning dessert that becomes a wonderful surprise after dinner. These roasted peaches, lightly sugared, rich with butter, and with just a hint of herbs dazzle in their simplicity and flavor. Making them is effortless too.
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 450°F.
Cut the peaches in half and remove and discard the pits.
Yes RF Brush the peaches with the melted butter.
Place the peaches cut side up in a baking pan.
Sprinkle with the sugar.
Sprinkle on the herbs.
Roast for .
Turn the peaches over.
Roast for another 3–, or until tender when pierced with the tip of a sharp knife.
Let cool to warm or room temperature.
Serve plain or with vanilla ice cream or lemon sorbet.
