Roasted Garlic
Ronnie's Notes
Garlic is rather tame when you roast it. Try this ultra-easy dish and see for yourself.
Tips: Kitchen Clue You can make roasted garlic without wrapping the garlic in foil by using a special terra cotta “garlic baker.”
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Remove the loose papery peel from the outside of the garlic head.
Put the head on a small sheet of aluminum foil and drizzle it with the olive oil.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and herbs.
Wrap the garlic completely in the foil.
Bake 11/2– or until the garlic is soft when pierced with the tip of a sharp knife.
Remove the garlic.
Slice a piece from the top of the garlic to expose the flesh.
To serve, let the garlic cool and have guests scoop some from the head; alternatively, they can use their fingers to take a clove of the cooled garlic and squeeze it onto a cracker or cut-up vegetable.
