Rhubarb Cake

Beat the butter and brown sugar together until the mixture is light and lfuffy.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

Mix the baking soda and buttermilk and immediately pour the mixture into the butter mixture, alternating with the flour.

Stir in the rhubarb.

Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9"x5" loaf cake pan.

In a small bowl, mix together the topping ingredients.

Pour on top of the cake batter.

Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for or until a cake tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
