Place the garlic and basil in a food processor and process for a few seconds or until the basil leaves are coarsely chopped.

Add half the olive oil and process for a few seconds, then gradually add the remaining olive oil and process until the basil is in tiny pieces.

Add the nuts and process for a few seconds to break the nuts up into small pieces.

Stir in the cheese.

Season to taste with salt and pepper.
