Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Cream the butter and sugar at medium speed for or until thoroughly blended.

Add the eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

Mix the flour, baking soda and salt and add to the butter mixture, alternating with 10 tablespoons lemonade syrup.

Mix in the lemon peel.

Drop the batter by the heaping tablespoonful onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for or until the edges are lightly browned.

While the cookies are still warm, brush them with the remaining 1/4 cup lemonade syrup.

Sprinkle with sugar.

Let the cookies cool.
