Oatmeal gives this dish a faintly sweet taste and a crunchy crust. Try this dish with mashed potatoes and Wilted Kale with Sesame Dressing.

Tips: Kitchen Clue If you prefer not to fry the fish, preheat the oven to 375°F and bake the fish on a cookie sheet about 12 minutes or until lightly browned.

Mix the olive oil, lemon juice, mustard, chives, salt, and pepper in a glass, ceramic, stainless-steel, or other nonreactive dish large enough to hold the trout fillets.

Place the fillets in the dish and coat them with the mixture.

Let the fish rest .

Crush the oats on a flat plate.
