Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are crunchy and a bit spicy, a little different than the recipe on the back of the morsels bag. Great for dunking!

Heat the oven to 350 degrees.

Place the butter, brown sugar and white sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer.

Beat at medium speed for , or until the ingredients are thoroughly blended.

Scrape the sides of the bowl occasionally.

Add the egg and vanilla extract and blend them in.

Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt and add these ingredients to the butter mixture.

Blend thoroughly.

Stir in the oats and chocolate chips and stir to distribute the ingredients evenly through the dough.

Drop by heaping teaspoonful onto a greased cookie sheet, leaving 1-1/2-inches between each cookie.

Bake for or until the cookies are lightly browned.
