Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Wash and trim the Brussels sprouts.

Shred the sprouts in a food processor.

Combine the shredded sprouts with the olive oil and lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste.

Toss the ingredients and spread them on two cookie sheets.

Bake for , or until tender and lightly browned, mixing the sprouts once or twice during baking.

Place the sprouts in a casserole dish.

Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs.

Just before serving, preheat the broiler.

Can be made completely ahead.

Place the casserole under the broiler for until the sprouts are hot and the cheese mixture lightly browned (if the casserole has been refrigerated, remove it ahead and rewarm in a 350 degree oven for before broiling.) Makes 8-10 servings
