Basic, Grilled Marinated Chicken Breasts

If the chicken breasts are thick, place them between pieces of waxed paper and pound them to 1/2-inch thickness using a meat mallet, the flat side of a cleaver, or the bottom of a pot.

Place the chicken in a glass, ceramic, stainless-steel, or other non-reactive dish.

Combine the remaining ingredients in a small bowl and whisk them together to make a marinade.

Pour the marinade over the chicken and let the meat marinate at least one hour.

Turn the chicken once or twice during this time.

Preheat the grill.

Remove the chicken from the marinade.

Grill the chicken about 4-inches from the heat source for per side, or until they are cooked through.
