Baked Acorn Squash

This is a wonderful choice for Thanksgiving or other holiday dinners.
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425°F.
Cut the squash in half, cutting perpendicular to the ridges.
Slice a small piece from the bottom of each half so that the squash can stand up straight in a baking dish.
Scoop the seeds and stringy flesh from inside the cavity and sprinkle the orange flesh with salt.
Lightly grease a baking dish.
Place the squash cut-side down on the baking dish.
Prick the shell in 3 or 4 places with the tines of a fork.
Bake 20–.
Combine remaining ingredients.
Remove the squash from the oven and turn it cut-side up.
Fill the cavities with the nut mixture.
Return the squash to the oven and bake it another 10– or until the flesh is tender when pierced with the tip of a sharp knife.
